18" Barrel w/ 3.5" Chamber - Does it Exist?

Post by doom720 »

Hello all,

I have a burning desire to put myself through a rotator cuff surgery before the age of 40 (not really)

Looking for an 18" 12ga barrel with a 3.5" chamber for my super magnum.
Can't seem to find anything shorter than the standard 26" ribbed.
Does anyone know if somebody is making 18" super magnum barrels?

Last resort would be to source a normal barrel and having a gunsmith cut one down and install a new front bead but I know that's gonna be $$$

Any ideas?

Please + Thanks!

Actually I doubt it would be all that spendy. The work is pretty simple all told.

Remington made an 870 Super Mag Turkey Predator model with a 20” barrel. It really handles very similarly to the Remington and 18.5” barrel

~$100 to cut and crown a barrel. I think back in the day, a hacksaw did the job, but I'd rather have a smith do it. :-)
