I purchased a trade in 870P with wood furniture. It was made in the 1990s. I want to replace the wood for a Speedfeed that I just purchased. My question is, I want to put a factory magazine extention tube on it. It has an 18 inch barrel and I want the extension tube to be flush with the end of the barrel or slightly beyond. Do I need the 2 or 3 round to make this flush? The one that is shorter than the barrel look bad to me.
Thanks
870 police magnum question.
Re: 870 police magnum question.
A plus two will almost be even with your barrel, the plus three extensions are made for the 20 inch barrels. Getting a Remington extension for a reasonable price will be very difficult as they are currently not made. Being that Remingtons are so hard to get I would go with a Nordic extension as my second choice, this is the first choice for some. On this fourm you can find some really good information about stuff like this in their articles.
Re: 870 police magnum question.
Thank you for the information. I wasn't sure if the 3 shot would be to long. I like the look of the ones on the marine magnum that are just beyond the barrel. Thanks for the help and you're right factory ones are hard to find.

Re: 870 police magnum question.
Hopefully Remington will start making parts again soon. I looked for the remington +2 and saw a bunch...for a couple hundred+. I got a pair of +2 from Wilson for $85 complete with springs.
