Re: Trying to find age and value of my 870's
Am not sure anyone could give you a reasonable valuation at this time. Gun prices have become silly-stupid, with what sold 2 years ago for $250 now commanding $800. I've seen 870 stripped receivers go for $400. Plus it's always a buyers market. Your best bet is to compare completed auctions on GunBroker or other places and see what similar firearms are selling for.

Thanks Scorpion. Yeh, been watching some auctions there but the shotguns selling are a little newer than mine. I'll keep an eye out.

Age is not a good determiner of an 870's value. Older shotguns in good condition, especially a Wingmaster, will go for more than a newer express or one in poor condition. Scorpion8 is dead on about recent values. The market appears to be cooling off though, I recently saw two 870 magnums in decent condition go for $300 when I sold one for $650 several months ago. You have some mighty fine shotguns there.
