New Member with Wingmaster

Post by HondaPoppa »

I'm Scott from west central GA, USA. I have an old Wingmaster that my brother-in-law gave me over 25 years ago. At the time it was just a 12 ga I used for quail and doves. I've since acquired other shotguns and the Wingmaster became a placeholder in the safe. Recently, my son invited me to fill a slot on his team for a sporting clays event and I decided to dust off the old Wingmaster.
It does not have a choke barrel. I'm curious as to the mfg date if anyone can help or point me in the right direction at least. Serial # is 639747V.
I'd like to refinish it as it's well worn and the stock is cracked.
I'll try to attach a photo.

This may help as long as stamping on your barrel can be read ok and barrel hasn't been changed. This information found in our rem870 forum: https://www.rem870.com/gun-manufacture- ... er-lookup/

Also there are a lot of references to similar information doing a web search. Good luck with your Wingmaster. I also have an older 870 Wingmaster Magnum and they are keepers!
