I remove mine as soon as I swab the bores with a boresnake after each session, then wipe them off of any soot/powder residue (since the threads are covered when inserted), and re-lube them before re-installing them. I use that same Remington choke wrench that I recommended, as it provides enough leverage in either direction without allowing you to over-tighten and also won't slip off and mar up the notches.
