Another question about date of manufacture
Another question about date of manufacture
Serial number is W7121XXM Thanks for any help on this
Re: Another question about date of manufacture
Yup, It's the serial number on the receiver. That information is useful. The early date on an Express might explain why this gun didn't have a lot of the things that I was told to watch out for. It has a metal trigger guard, and non-mim extractor. All that I have added are the obligatory Magpul stock, a Choate Tool mag extension and follower, Mesa Tactical anti walk trigger pins, a hi-vixz front sight that sits on top of the vent rib. I have two forends for it; a Pachmyar and a Streamlight, Chinese knock off labeled, Treeline. The last time I actually fired the thing, was years ago, with some Dixie Slug, Xterminator rounds. I hadn't read the Dixie Slug suggestion that it be fired in a gun weighing at least 10 pounds! It took my nose and thumb a week or so to recover. It was for my first Alaska trip when I thought I needed a small artillery field piece for the thousand of grizzly lurking behind every bush.

Re: Another question about date of manufacture
Well, there's a saying about a fool and his money, because the Magpul stock is hardly "obligatory" and the shotgun you've built is not even close to necessary for Alaska. In fact, can't say I've ever seen one in the bear woods. Looks more like the TV-"operator" wanna-be's. But to each-his-own goes another saying.

Re: Another question about date of manufacture
My wingmaster will look something like this before long.
But if I can find an affordable Express , I’ll restore the Wingmaster to original and Tac out the Express for fun.
