Bead sight vs high vis sight.

Post by Okie1297 »

I ordered a tru glo turkey goblet stopper extra full choke for my 870 and it is coming with a high vis sight I’ve used a high vis sight once and it I was kid a meh on it it was ok but I hadn’t used one before. So has anyone else used them before and if so what do you prefer I think the one I ordered is a belt o come of but magnetic not I’m not sure yet.

I have a magnetic kind. For low light turkey where one is aiming it seems like could be helpful. For wingshooting I think not necessary and possibly distracting.

More recently I installed an XS Big Dot tritium bead that is epoxied over a brass bead. It's kind of big for aiming a very tight pattern but mine is on a cylinder bore HD gun.

Ok I’ve just shot a couple at some stationary clay pigeons. I think the one I ordered is magnetic or tape on.

I use the magnetic hi-vis sights on my trap shotguns because I'm a one-right-eyed-shooter, more of aiming. Still, I aim very well.
