Streamlight TL-Racker - Spanner Tool NOT Included!

Post by CelloMan » Sun Aug 02, 2020 12:09 am

Hello - Well, after reading several reviews of flashlights and watching a few YouTube videos about installing them, I got the Streamlight TL-Racker.
Somewhere along the way I didn't notice that it does not come with a spanner tool. So, is there something I can use as an alternative, or do I have to buy the tool? Since this is my first firearm, I don't have a whole lot of gunsmith tools (and I'm not in a hurry to have a full set!).

Thanks

It's a light build into the forend, so he needs a forend tool.

Instructions say the tool isn't supplied. That sucks.

I've only used a cheap tool, which I got somewheres. It's just a stamped flat bar. Works fine for me. Brownells & MidwayUSA have much nicer gunsmith tools but they run $25-$30 and you don't need one of those.

Sorry I don't have any work around suggestions.

I ordered this one from Amazon: https://amzn.to/3fv8Pgd
There were less expensive options, but didn't have good reviews.
I'll probably never need it again. Who knows...?

Yes, thanks, but it was too late (...and I'm seeing your comment very late, sorry). I paid more for the tool at a local range store and did the job that day. Looks good - weighs more, and I need to spend some time learning how to use it "smoothly".
Best regards.

I'm sorry man this is such a non-post.... You could have done a Google search and not needed to post

I bought an ATI for end tool and it was only like $15. I can't count the times I've used that tool. It's paid for itself 20 Times over by now. Having a few gunsmith tools isn't a bad thing.
Due to the increased price of ammo, don't expect a warning shot...
