everything guns and ammo is scarce. covid driven declines in manufacturing and city people scared shitless by all the rioting and looting bought everything up. lots of new first time gun owners out there.

Surprisingly we're fairly well stocked in stores in Alaska. Maybe they planned ahead, but even 22LR still fills the shelves. Of course, I'm more than (ahem) fairly well stocked at home.....

I’m new to Remington and shotguns overall and just joined the forum, because I have some info that hopefully helps here.
I’ve been looking for and 870P for about a year and was giving up hope of finding a brand new one especially here in California. Wasn’t exactly sure of what options that I wanted, but I wanted only an 870P and very much preferred new, or in mint condition. Was also leaning towards walnut and bead site only, but wasn’t in a position to be very picky.
Just last week I found one online, brand new, walnut, front bead and an 870P. I prepaid and the company ordered directly from Remington and will be shipping to my dealer here in California. Remington quoted 69-90 days, but that’s fine with me. Also I didn’t mind the prepay. I finally found exactly what I had hoped for.

Here’s all the info:

www.officerstore.com in case the above link doesn’t work.

The Remington Model 870P line of shotguns is the standard by which all other combat shotguns are judged.

They have been in constant use since their inception in 1950 by all branches of the US Military as well as by many countries around the world.

The 870P has become legendary for its rugged durability and reliability which equates to a weapon that can be counted on in any situation or environment.

Specs:
Gauge: 12 Ga. 3” | 76mm
Finish: Parkerized
Barrel Length: 18” | 45.7 cm
Choke: Improved Cylinder
Sights: Single Bead, Steel
Magazine Capacity: 6+1
Stock: Walnut
Forend: Walnut
Stock Dimensions:
Length of Pull:14”
Drop at Comb: 1.5”
Drop at Heel: 2.5”
Weight: 7.5 lbs | 3.4 kg
Length: 38.5” | 97.8 cm
Front and Rear Swivel Studs

As I said, I’m new to Remington and shotguns.
Maybe I’ll be back on here soon learning some stuff from you guys.

Good luck!
