no, I like old American made tools. here's my 1946 drill press I fixed up; works like new.

I could if I wanted to get into processes like hot salt bluing but I'm not likely going there at this age. I've redone some really old doubles but I do the wood, butt pads, small stuff but if the barrels need refinishing I send them out to someone really good. I only refinish the metal on old doubles if I get one with big problems like rust. just normal use wear they have more value just cleaning them and leaving original. I have some old guns that must have been closet queens as they show little wear. here's a 1916 Ithaca 16 ga. the case coloring on the receiver is original. the checkering has no wear.
I had to have the damascus barrels refinished as they had some rust from being handled and not oiled after. I guess you're going to get some abuse in 104 years.
