Hi guys, I have just bought Remington original plywood (laminated) stock for my 870 and seems that the stock bolt length from my wooden stock is not enough. Could you please advise what is the needed length of stock bolt for laminated stock?
Mine is like on the picture below:
Laminated stock bolt lenght?

Have you held them up side-by-side and compared?

Re: Laminated stock bolt lenght?
Stocks are externally the same. The only difference is, i don't know the right term, the depth of the wide part of opening for the bolt itself. The wooden one is two-three inches deeper. I haven't measured my bolt, but seems I have 8-1/2.Have you held them up side-by-side and compared?
The length of narrow part of the bolt opening in plywood stock is 275mm:
Re: Laminated stock bolt lenght?
There are 2 bolt lengths and 10.5" is the other one AFAIK.
Re: Laminated stock bolt lenght?
That sounds right to me. Remington's website should offer more of a clue, because I think there were only two options.

There are only 2 bolt options: 8.5” and 10.5”
