New “old” hunter

Post by Sabbathu »

Hello all.

I recently got back into guns for the first time since I was a kid. My father passed away in 1982 when I was 12. He left me 5 shotguns and a Remington 308. Well, I dusted them off and cleaned them all up after almost 40 years in the attic.

Now, I’m ready to go hunting and I just ordered an 870 express. It’s on its way to my FFL out here in California and I’ll be taking it hunting in a few weeks. Looking forward to reading and contributing to this forum.

You'll find this a slow, quiet place but that goes along with a one-gun topic. Still, ask away and post whatever interests you.

I can do that. Would I have to find an image hosting site to link pics here? I’ll try it out. Image

Man, I remember when the gunshops and hardware stores of small-town PA in the late 70's used to be loaded with those styles of dual-caliber guns. Never owned one, but that pic evokes an era gone-by.
