Manufacturing Date?
Manufacturing Date?
Hi, all. Could someone confirm the manufacturing date on this 1100? I searched the forum and came up with August of 1981. Could someone confirm this please. See the picture below. Thanks in advance!

Re: Manufacturing Date?
Sadly the barrel date codes only identify the barrel manufacture date, since barrels are interchangeable. Unless you know absolutely that yours has never been replaced or swapped, calling/e-mailing Remington customer service with your receiver serial number is the only true check of manufacturing date.

You can also tell if you barrel matches the serial number range and letter/s.
Re: Manufacturing Date?
Great point, give Remington both the serial number and barrel code and they can probably identify if they are age-equivalent.Germansheperd wrote: ↑Mon Apr 13, 2020 1:38 pm You can also tell if you barrel matches the serial number range and letter/s.

Re: Manufacturing Date?
Thanks, all! I gave Remington a call and they were able to provide the correct year based on those two criterias. FYI, below is the extension # for MF date inquiries:
800.243.9700 ext 7
800.243.9700 ext 7
Re: Manufacturing Date?
Thanks! Glad they were able to help you out. What year did it end up being?
