Tactical Home Defense Light Attachment

I am looking for a Tactical Home Defense Light Attachment. Can anyone recommend a decent one? I was reading a review on one (which was a few hundred $'s), and they said nothing about blinding an intruder... is this not a benefit of a bright light?
I would like to spend less than $100, and it would be nice if it was on Amazon.
