I just noticed this nick about the rivet of my ejector housing on my 870.
Is this something to be concerned about, such as a broken ejector?
I haven’t fired this gun in a while (life’s gotten a little hectic) and it’s still ejects snap caps perfectly fine. I assume I must have ‘nicked it’ the last time I was reassembling it after cleaning it.
TIA

I wouldn’t worry about it if it still works.

If it's still tight, doesn't slide any, then just keep-on shootin'-on!

Re: Ejector Housing Concern?
Coming from someone with a broken ejector, I wouldn't worry about that. My LH 870 12 gauge ejector broke off right at the rivet, but still works fine. Gonna have it fixed but still frustrating. Don't give that mark too much concern. If you're really pressed about it, I suppose you could de-burr it if it has any sharp edges.

I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
I would , however, keep an eye on it.
You may never have a problem. real world. We tend as humans to overthink things. But, keeping an eye on it when You clean the Gun, or , after a marathon session isn't going to hurt, cost nothing, and, can give You a little peace of mind.
