Replacement rem870 gold trigger

I bought a replacement trigger from brownells (gold trigger) once installed my safety would not engage and my trigger would not pull back is there some shaving imma have to do to the new trigger??

Did you buy just a trigger itself or the whole Remington trigger assembly?

These parts should be plug-n'-play as far as I know. Any word back on this?
