Forend questions
I have I believe an early 80's 12 gauge wingmaster with the ribbed forend. What particular gun models came with this and when? I notice newer ones do not have them, and some have checkered furniture. I added the magazine extension because I shoot clay pigeons abd wanted more capacity, it's not original.

Re: Forend questions
Hello and welcome aboard. The corncob fore-end is a feature of the vintage 870's, but my mid-80's Wingmaster (since sold) had the modern-style checkered forend. I could not tell you exactly when they switched. Some folks prize that style, others (like me) prefer the newer style.

Re: Forend questions
They ran those in the 70’s and 80’s on Wingmaster (although most had the checkering),Police/Riot, and the Brushmaster. Somewhere in the 80’s that forend then just went to the Brushmaster and Police/Riot, and then just Police/Riot.
