Glad to hear! My 870 Police does not get used as much as I'd like, but make no mistake its the favorite among my 4 870s. It has treated me very well.

If your 870 Express is working well i feel you have a good shotgun, so why get something else just for looks or to be able to say it's a police model.

Just wanted to give an update. I decided to just add some police / upgraded parts to my existing 870. I did the extractor, magazine tube spring and followed and the carrier dog spring. I’ve done function test without firing but all seems to be in order. I don’t notice stronger extraction patterns or anything but I don’t think that is entirely the goal. From my research I feel the it was mainly to increase reliability. It was a cheap upgrade so I figured why not
