I have just put a command arms M-4 style stock on and now can't get my eye down far enough to use the bead sight. I was thinking a barrel with the rifle sights might be enough to fix this issue, can anyone confirm this before I buy another barrel ?
My other option is a different adapter to change the angle of the stock, but I'd rather do the barrel swap if that will work.

I've had a post with photos of Rem 870 with Magpul M-4 styke stock recently:
http://www.rem870.com/2012/07/23/tactic ... ngton-870/
It has barrel with rifle sights.
Also, here is Rem 870 with Command Arms stock:
http://www.rem870.com/2012/02/24/reming ... nse-setup/
It has barrel with rifle sights too.
You can get the same barrel here: http://tinyurl.com/cn7sutg (20″, with rifle sights, improved cylinder) or shorter one: http://tinyurl.com/dyf49pe (18″, with rifle sights, improved cylinder).

I had a problem with that also ...i dont think (please if anyone else has input ) that installing the rifle sight barrel will help.... your not going to get that much rise in the sights over all.... alot of the AR stock adapters require the use of optics once installed .... some will have this stated on their information page (MESA Tactical does) others dont. I use the MESA Tactical LEO adapter, it mimics the drop of the factory stock so no optics are recuired... and I can install any AR stock made .... im running a MAGPUL M93 right now. hope it helps.....

I got a rifle sight barrel and it *almost worked...but not well enough to justify the $160+ price. The tritium sights on the rifle barrel were very nice though, maybe I'll end up fitting some of those on later.
I know there are a few adapters that will change the angle but I think I am just going to try retraining myself on the shortened factory stock first.

@ M1AG30, I had the mesa tactical LEO stock and it deffinatly dosent recreate the same stock height as the factory stock. You would see a lot of barrel with this stock installed as you have yours in your top picture. HOWEVER The MS LEO stock comes with a spacer that i lost and never could try out that i BELIEVE with the angle of the receiver, the added length WILL make it closer to origonal height.

I just received the angled adapter from here- http://www.tacticalcomponent.com/Tactic ... dapter.htm
And I have a single point sling plate coming too, it might be enough of a spacer to make the original (very nice aluminum) adapter work, I'll update in a few days after I get all the stuff and try it out.
