I got the police trigger group installed and the Wilson combat jumbo safety installed in it.
I also installed an upgraded black carrier dog spring in the stock polymer trigger group. Having the silver bullet tool makes this a breeze.

That's one beautiful shotgun!!
Re: It arrived!
I fired 30 more rounds of fiocchi low recoil 00 buck and 10 rounds of sellier and bellot full power 00 buck and it fired all of them without malfunction. However prior to firing I did squirt some lps 2 heavy duty oil into the action. I don't know if that was the deciding factor or not but the ejection appeared weak with rounds barely ejecting

I've got the same gun OP. Bought it a few years ago and love it.
Shoot mostly slugs in it and no complaints at all, replaced furniture with Magpul. Oh, and about the extraction hangups, mine did the same thing. Just kept shooting it and it worked itself out.

I wound up selling this as no matter what I did it had weak ejection issues!

I had that exact same model 870 a few years back, and it was definitely a great gun! I liked the sights, and the Breacher that came on it. It shot like a dream.

Re: It arrived!
Great choice! Wish I had waited and learned a bit more about the various 870's before getting a basic 870 with hard wood stock (I like it well enough though). Yours has nice sights, a tapped receiver, a choke ready barrel, a +2 magazine extension, and has no magazine detents. All of that is totally worth the extra 175 bucks, considering what it would cost to add those features to a base model 870 after the fact. Congrats!
Re: It arrived!
I guess my first upgrade would have been a Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor. If anything is weak point on an 870, this is where it is.
