I recently bought a Winchester SXP with a wood fore-end and stock for waterfowl hunting, and this is my first rifle that isn't purely polymer and metal. Is there any product you'd recommend getting to wipe down the wood with after it gets wet to protect it long-term, other than obviously quickly drying off the water?
Thanks in advance!

I use Ballistol on all my guns .... it was designed as a multi purpose weapons oil ... and it protects not only metal ... but wood and leather as well.
I even use it on my wooden table and chairs ....
Just one note: because it was designed to attack copper .... don't use it on any firearm or tools (knives) that includes brass parts ... because those will start to corrode ...
