Identify this part - Does this belong on an 870?

Identify this part - Does this belong on an 870?

I put in a new Mesa Tactical side saddle on my Remington 870 and I found this part on the table afterwards. I'm not sure if it came from my Remington 870 or another gun. Can anybody identify this part? (file attached).

Nice! Losing a tiny spring like that is so frustrating.... done it enough times.
