remington 870 wingmaster magnum 12 ga value
NIB would be around $500-$700 depending on what model. I would call Remington give them your serial number and find out what model you have then go from there. Let us know what model and post some pictures of it and we will go from there
But it looks like the used value would be $350-450 depending on condition

Re: remington 870 wingmaster magnum 12 ga value
i did find out that the barrel is not original... i was told a magnum would take 3" shells.... this one only 2 3/4 or shorter... so the receiver is magnum and the barrel is not...from the info ive gotten.. i know really nothing about shotguns... handguns a different story... thanks for your response texas..

Got this email from Remington this morning... a little more info...
"Based on the serial provided, your shotgun is an 870 Wingmaster Magnum that has a 3" chamber and originally had a 30" with a production date of 1978. It sounds as though the barrel may have been changed some point after production."

Yeah, you're not getting anywhere near NIB value for a mis-matched Wingmaster with some miles on the wood & bluing. Doesn't mean it's worthless though, it's still an 870. You could see if someone would be willing to trade you a barrel with a 3" chamber, that would probably make it more desirable to buyers. But at a fair price, it'd still be great as-is for someone looking for a first shotgun that they can upgrade & accessorize later on down the road. 2.75" shells are perfectly sufficient for most hunting, and they're all you need for clays or HD.
