NYC Laws: Magazine with 5+ rounds

Hello, I am in the process of waiting for my NYC/NYS rifle/shotgun permit. I am finding different reports talking about limits on the magazine capacity for shotguns. Does anyone here have any experience with owning a Rem 870 in New York City? This is the gun I will be purchasing when the time comes. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!
