Yes, they are the same basic shotgun so the vast majority of aftermarket parts will be compatible. The Police Magnum has a much better finish, a metal trigger guard, and some upgraded springs.

As the Chief said parts are interchangeable but why put Express parts on a Police model?

I wasn't crazy about the bead sight on my 870P, either. I upgraded to a rifle sight barrel and then after a while ditched the factory sights for Ameriglo sights. The original front sight was very small, and together with the rear I didn't find them very easy to use. Definitely not fast-on-target. The Ameriglo's are pretty good, definitely better than what came on the barrel, in my opinion.

Ah, I see. Great idea. I have been lucky enough to aquire three 870P Magnums that were police trades over several years. Equipped them all with S&J Hardware safeties and magazine extentions. A friend Cerakote each.

Thanks. It sure cleans up nice, but - happily - I shoot the snot out of it on a fairly regular basis haha
Not seen in this picture, there's an OD green elastic side saddle on the other side of the receiver. My version of "tactical" required a walnut stock.

Something to be said about walnut, believe it or not, I put mesa urbino stock on mine, and also the walnut forend, from brownells, had to have a walnut fix! , looking for one like you have there , it is a nice gun, something to keep forever.
