Howdy!

Post by WelcomToEarth »

Just ordered a 12 gauge Remington 870 Exp with a 28" barrel. If anyone has any recommendations for cleaning kits, lubricants, solvents, etc. and specific websites to order parts and accessories from, please comment!

Thanks.

Exactly what I use too. I'm sure there are other good (or even better) products out there, but the above has never let me down. 870s aren't touchy about cleaning or lubrication anyway, the choke tube threads are the only things that you need to pay real close attention to, and oiling the finish regularly will keep it from rusting if you're out in the weather or live in a humid area. The individually-packaged pre-oiled Rem Wipes are great to bring along on a hunt or a range trip.

As for parts, Remington's customer service line is my go-to. Midway and Brownells are good for both factory & aftermarket parts, but don't usually beat Remington's prices for factory stuff. Other aftermarket parts & accessories need to be ordered from their respective manufacturer's websites.
