I just installed the TacStar saddle on my 870 this afternoon. Fit is good and looks great. Won't have a chance to shoot for a while but all looks good until then. I have heard of the bolts loosening so will probably look into getting some Pickford for the screws but we'll have to wait and see. I will post pics later.

I have used TacStar sidesaddle for about a year, it worked very good. My friend uses it even longer. But yes, you need to check bolts often.

So I have heard. It will be checked often until the problem goes away. But like I said, I wont have the chance to shoot it very soon due to othr things happening but will keep an eye on it.

No one can argue with the Tacstars success. Since its introduction, others have refined the concept with sleeker and simpler design and better matierials for double the price. But the Tacstar still gets the job done competently and efficiently, and there's nothing wrong with a classic.

I've had my TacStar Sidesaddle on my SP magnum through 3 trips to the range. the first was less than 20rnds(that was New Glock Day!), but the last 2 have been at least 50rnds each trip(including several 1.25oz 3" Magnum slugs, Got a great deal on 100!!). No problems at the range, but needed tightening after each trip, during cleaning. So far, I could put the first 2 rounds facing down, they stayed in place untill I needed them. I have since aquired a "Speedfeed Stock" +2 on each side, and I am planning to use the Sidesaddle for all Buckshot in the future. KISS.

Just used my 870 with the Tac Star saddle for the first time a couple weeks ago in a skeet shoot with some friends. Put over 150 rds thru it and neither of the bolts loosened at all. I guess I snugged them up good the first time. Hope this trend continues. love the saddle and it held even 3in slugs and buckshot upside down without slipping. Very happy with the purchase.

I dont have them on my 870 just yet but i was looking for the right one. Im looking to get the 6 round holder. But over all i think its a great accessory to have and its a plus because it looks great!

Never had any problem with the big bolts that replace the pins.... But, keep an eye on the little screws that hold the Sidesaddle to the mounting plate!! They tend to loosen up, and if you lost one of them little screws in the field or at the range, you would likely never find it!! I've thought about putting a drop of "Lockttite" on them, but if they didn't fall out the last 2 times I was out shooting... I think they will be ok!! Just make sure they are snug, but don't strip them!!

you would never find it haha. You think a little locktite or thread glue would help out?
