VangCompSystem
Anyone here use the this system on there barrel?
Re: VangCompSystem
Not on any personally owned shotguns. But I am toying with the idea of getting it done on one of my barrels. No porting necessarily. But I am thinking about having the barrel back bored and the forcing cone lengthened, plus screw in choke tubes installed.
My very subjective opinion is that any good gunsmith can back bore and lengthen the forcing cone on a shotgun barrel. With VangComp, I don't doubt a big part of the price is the name associated with the work. Much Like Wilson is with 1911's.

Re: VangCompSystem
I ran a Vang Comp Barrel on my duty SG for several years when I was an LEO. Seemed to help a bit, although I'm not recoil sensitive. I did notice that I returned on target a bit faster. I didn't bring that 870 to CO with me. I got the barrel through another agency that was going over to Benelli's and ditched their 870's and Vang Comp barrels.
