12" barrel
Has anyone heard of Dominion Arms in Canada? From what I understand they're Norinco's with another company name on them. Yes I know, the N word. I dont care for the name either but im only interested in the 12" barrel they sell seprately. I was wondering if anyone knows if the barrel will fit onto our beloved 870. I thought it would make a neat project. Reviews on the whole Dominion Arms shotgun isnt bad at all but I dont want to get ant hate mail from anyone
Tell me what you guys think

Highbrass I certainly would not know as a 12" barrel is illegal per the NFA in the US, and I would need some crazy credentials to have something that restricted here... But I know you're in Canada.
Seems like a 12" might be allowed in Canada if it is made by an approved manufacturer and your 870 doesn't fall under 26" in overall length, so keep the stock. If you are looking for a short barrel why not look into getting one from Remington? Law enforcement models have short barrels available down to their 11.5" or 10" breacher model.

Thank you for posting the link AkiroHikage. I will look into pricing in the near future. I actually buy from a Remington dealer anyway so hopefully it wont be too much of a hassle to get it up here. It was the price of the Dominion Arms barrel that was attrctive as I can get it for $150 Canadian

Well I talked to my dealer about getting a Remington short barrel and surprise, surprise they're not available in Canada. Up here we're pretty used to getting the short end of the stick. So many products aren't available to us. I'm not sure why but it looks like I'm stuck with the Dominion Arms barrel.

They are not illegal in the U.S. just regulated you can have a SBS/SBR for a $200 or for an AOW for $5 (Five DOLLARS) paid to the ATF.AkiroHikage wrote:Highbrass I certainly would not know as a 12" barrel is illegal per the NFA in the US, and I would need some crazy credentials to have something that restricted here... Hence my comment of crazy credentials. You would need class 3 firearms license in addition. It really isn't worth the close regulation for a civilian to have a short barreled shotgun in my opinion, but if someone is game for it power to em.cv0lv0g0 wrote:They are not illegal in the U.S. just regulated you can have a SBS/SBR for a $200 or for an AOW for $5 (Five DOLLARS) paid to the ATF.

1 ffl Standard ffl you need it if you open a bushiness of working on and selling firearms.
2 ffl Manufacturing ffl suppressors *MAKING* firearms (Dont have to pay the $200 dollar tax stamp every time you make or buy something)
3 ffl DD and mgs after 1982
And all three can be search by the ATF if you are under investigation. They just don't barge right in, they do make appointments.
(God I need to stop editing people's post I hit edit instead of quote -.-)
