Hi! all

Post by Mosin9130 »

new to the forum, I don't own a Remington 870 but I do have there clone the H&R pardner pump 12ga witch is owned by Remington, it's my first gun haven't shot it yet but I will, using some dummy round's I would cycle them through and every now and then I would get a failure to feed it seem's to get stuck in the magazine tube, I would rack the forearm again and it would pop into the chamber. I haven't done anything to it since I got it just assembled the 28" barrel and a few drop's of machine oil on it just so it would have some type of lube and not be totally dry.It seem's to be a nice gun but hey it's my first so anything would be nice lol!!

When you get a fail-to-feed, check to see if the shell latch has moved properly. If that's what's keeping the shell in the magazine, it's probably an issue with the shell latch or the action bar.

Also, check the dimensions on your snap caps. Some snap caps have improper rim dimensions due to either wear or poor quality control, and that can cause cycling malfunctions.
