Im trading for a Desert Recon 870. I dont care for the digital camo stock, since its desert camo and i dont live in the desert. I am considering duracoating the stock and forend another color to complement the od green coated parts. Will i be decreasing value, or not?

Are you thinking of reselling it in the future? I've made several small changes to my 870 Police Magnum, but then, I'm never planning on letting it go. So many owners modify their guns to their liking, I really wouldn't worry about it. Your plan sounds good, too. OD green looks great on shotguns.

I don't think you'll be decreasing the gun's value, not in the near future at least. If you're worried, you could always paint another set of furniture, and save the original set.
