Help needed here. I've decided to take up trap shooting and wanted to learn (first) on the cheap. I spoke with a few people and they suggested buying a 870. Good all around gun and from what I've read they've been building them for decades. Bought the 870 express with the black synthetic stock & fore end. My issue is the grip behind the trigger where my fingers are. It's quite slippery and I don't feel like I have a good grip on the gun. Is there some sort of grip tape that I could buy. I'd rather get some sorta tape weather it's custom made for the 870 or just basic tape. Recommendations ?
Don't want to buy a whole new stock. Let's see if I like the sport first.

There are plenty of stick-on products that you can cut to shape for different guns. Some are sandpaper-esque like skateboard tape, others are more like a textured rubber or plastic. There should be something out there that works for you.
