870 weird ejection issue

hey guys, i have an 870 tactical from 2000, been awesome until now. once i fire, it locks the slide and you have you take off the barrel or bang it off the ground to make it rack. and just now trying it, it cycles fine when the barrel points up, when you hold it out like youre going to fire it only comes halfway back.

Is this only happening with one brand of shells, or with all ammo?

A broken carrier dog follower spring wouldn't interfere with slide movement. If anything, it would make the gun easier to rack.
