As mentioned earlier it should heal up fine. I have 8 screws, 2 pins and a metal plate in my support wrist. No issues with the 870. Just takes time and be sure to work it with some rehab.

I honestly haven't shot my shotguns since the surgery. I retired from the LEO job in March 2015. I can rack the slide on my Glocks now and am taking my LEOSA qual for concealed carry next week. One of the stages is offhand with my support hand (my left). I've shot with the left only a few times and its definitely stiff, but doable.

I have shot my some of my M14, Garands and a new to me 1903 Remington, but none of those require much from my support hand. We'll see. I'm sure as time goes by I'll work it out.
