lead cased 12 ga. shell

Post by byrd »

I received a bag of old shot gun shells from a family member, they are mostly paper cased rounds but one looked a little different. After further inspection, the case appears to be made out of lead. The round is made by FN Herstal Belguim . Did a google search and couldn't find anything on them, anyone have any info on lead cased rounds?

Could you post a picture? Is it headstamped FN Herstal? Is it a sheet of lead or some other kind of thin sheet? Are there any markings at all? Is it roll-crimped at the front?
