Re: 870 Magpul Edition mag extension
The Magpul Edition 870s can take pretty much any 870 magazine extension, though a single-piece extension would probably be best since the Magpul models have very little barrel length ahead of the guide ring for attaching a clamp, and most of that is pretty thin steel since the barrels are threaded for chokes.
Even narrowing it down to single-piece extensions though, you still have a lot of options, so it'd be nice if you could give us some more to go on.
What do you plan on doing with this gun? What magazine capacity are you trying to get? Are you okay with the extension sticking out past the end of the barrel or choke tube? Do you want an extension that'll let you attach a sling? Is weight a priority?

Thanks for the reply. Just looking for an extension that will run even with the barrel. Was thinking a +1. Not looking to add a sling or anything.

You will need to drill out the dedents and also use a wave washer to retain the mag extension
this is what we make, also come with new longer spring , which you will need and our "no jam" mag follower

Another +1 I'd recommend is the Wilson Combat. Though perhaps a tad overbuilt, these are solid and well-made extensions with a very good track record, and the kits come with the wave washer you'll need to keep the extension in place under recoil (Wilson Combat also sells these wave washers separately if you need one for a different extension).
You will need a longer spring if you're putting a Wilson Combat +1 on a long-mag receiver, however. Wilson Combat's own +2 extension spring should work well if you're using their follower, but if you're sticking with the factory cup-style follower (which will give you a little more capacity over the solid-bodied Wilson follower) or using a cup-style follower from another manufacturer, it'll be overly wide.
