Help! Missing part confirmation.

Hello All! I'm new to the forum and recently purchased a Rem870 Tactical Express. So the first thing I wanted to do was get familiarized with disassembling and cleaning of the firearm. I followed step by step on a few different YouTube videos and they were very helpful. But as I finished reassembling the firearm, I notice a small piece of metal on the table where I just completed the reassembly. I am not 100% sure if it's a part from the firearm or just a random piece I found. I'm hoping someone could confirm the piece as I've tried going through the diagram, piece by piece from online, but no luck. Please see attachments:

It's the magazine cap detent - part number 40 on the diagram in your owner's manual. This fits into a hole on the front of the barrel guide ring, and helps the magazine cap lock down without backing off under recoil. Sometimes these aren't staked in place too securely, and fall out during disassembly. There should also be a small spring that goes under the detent; it may have fallen out along with the detent, or it might still be in the hole in the barrel guide ring,
