Choke tube issues

Post by FLORIO22 »

Hey guys i was trap shooting today before I started i tighten the choke with the wrench. By the start of the third round 50shells the choke started to back out. Is this common? I hand tighten it again with my thumb and after the last Match it backed out again.

It happens sometimes with high-volume shooting, that's one of the downsides of screw-in chokes. When I shoot trap, I just check my tubes in-between rounds. If finger-tightening isn't getting the job done for you, Carlson's sells a nice little choke wrench that's cheap, and small enough to slip into a pocket or keep on a keychain.
