yes they are all machine from one piece, solid rod of pre hard 4140, not thin wall tubing with a cap on the end.
even tho a lot of the material is machined away, it still leave a very strong product, we have has some LEO and Mil customers around the world so some crazy stuff with our products .
The biggest issue we have is the cost to make the product, that said our prices have come down every year for the last 3 years, and where they have not gone down they and not gone up in price.
For our US customers, this is a great time to buy as the US dollar is strong so your getting the products another 8-12% cheaper depending on exchange rate.

yes the sling plate comes un installed and can be installed LH ,RH or straight down.
We use the same finisher as "colt defence" aka Colt Canada, so you get a true Mil spec finish.
