HELP 870 Police Magnum Jamming

I have a Police Magnum that is jamming when I try to chamber a new round by pumping the action. It’s hard to visualize without the pictures. As soon as I figure out how; I’m going to post them.

I’ve tried several things, polishing various parts, stripping, cleaning, using various types of ammo and lengths of brass. No change. But, it doesn’t happen often, just randomly. I have one good picture of the round stuck between two parts. I do not know the names of all the parts.

This is my personal service shotgun for patrol. I’m a Deputy in Tarrant County, Texas. As a result of this, I take my Colt AR15 instead of the 870 due to this very malfunction. The M4 is probably a better choice anyways.

If it wasn’t for this, I actually love this gun, the action is smooth, it has “rifle sights” which are my favorite, and has piston stock coupled with a Limbsaver on the magpul stock that takes up ALOT of the recoil!

Please help me figure this out and fix this. Please!

The first thing I’d do is replace the carrier spring with a new 1100 carrier spring and replace the magazine spring with new ‘police’ spring if your gun is a 4+1 or the extended if its a 6+1 and most likely you be in business again.
