New Member Introduction with a Twist

Post by Tasman » Mon Apr 15, 2013 2:49 am

Hello everyone, I am checking in from NC and I just picked up this beauty!!!! I am really excited. so far I have replaced the follower with a Brownell's Aluminum one in toxic green (Any USN brethren out there?) I plan on putting a 6 shot Mesa Tactical side saddle on it in the near future.

Now for the twist, every forum always has the introductions and they are normally pretty much the same. So let's be a little different. If you read this please reply with what your favorite mod. for your shotgun is as well as your favorite subtopic/section of this forum. I have already been trolling for about a week and decided this is a forum I have to be a part of!!!

Tactical/Home Defense is my favorite part to browse. As to upgrades, I am not really sure.

Howdy from a Tarheel in Texas... Alumnus of UNC-Chapel Hill (MA 2001, Ph.D. 2007) and Rem. 870 owner here. North Carolina is a beautiful state, and I did some clay pigeon shooting there with a borrowed 870...Fun!
Like you, I mostly lurk.

Best modification I ever made to my Remington 870? A shorter length-of-pull stock

Favorite part of the site? Well, I guess I typically look at pics, browse the tactical/defense/HD portions most frequently, and try to get a sense of what modifications have been developed.

Welcome!

Thank you for the welcome everyone, I too enjoy the HD section and I always enjoy threads full of pictures. Dave, how did you end up in Texas? The one part of NC you are lucky to be missing now is the pollen

My favorite upgrade so far is my Police hardwood furniture set. It looks cool, feels great, and gives the gun a lot of character.

I'm into just about everything here, so my favorite section would have to be the Active Topics page.
