Check your constriction, are you sure that "ported tactical choke" isn't already cylinder-bore?

I called trulock and they said neither the turkey or hog chokes will work with slugs

slugs would be improved cylinder.
you must put something in, otherwise those threads will get jacked immediately.

anything over improved cylinder(like a non-choked barrel) is bad with a slug.
