This is my 870 as it sits now. I'm done, A lot of testing parts and components, trial and error but it's set and i'm happy with it now. Perfect Home Defense Shotgun!

Nice setup there, Automag, but why the breaching choke? Don't see much point to that on a HD shotgun.

Well I have an Improved Cylinder RemChoke. I was using that for awhile, and it was fine. I also liked the 2" reduction in length. But the thing is, I prefer the full Cylinder bored patterns I get with that tactical/breaching choke. Trust me I've done a lot of practice and testing with the ammo I use. Yeah I guess I'd prefer it 2" shorter, but I'm just kinda stuck with that thing to have cylinder bored. My only option would be to change barrels, and sights. I'm really used to this setup now, so it's fine for me.

You know you can get Cylinder Rem Choke tubes without breaching stand-offs, right? Carlson's sells a basic flush-mount Cylinder tube for $16.95.

Yeah, that's something to consider. I would like to lose that Breaching standoff, for sure. I think i'll eventually buy a replacement barrel and install some good quality sights, or just buy a Remington cylinder bore barrel replacement with rifle sights. Thanks for sharing that link, i appreciate it..

Good looking Lefty 870! That forend setup is sure unique. I imagine you can get some fast push-pull action going, set up like that. I like it!

It's like looking at a lefty guitar, my eyes always go, "Wait, what?" haha
Looks great, though! Nice job.
