Sounds like a great deal to me if the condition is right. The folding stock alone may bring that to someone seeking one? I've owned one for years...never was crazy about the stock as I found it clumsy and uncomfortable. I don't however intend to sell it. It's a good conversation piece as well:-)

A couple things worth considering on a 70's era Wingmaster. First, a lot of the older Wingmasters have non-magnum receivers that will only cycle and eject 2.75" shells. 3" shells aren't that useful for combat purposes, and you can handle most hunting with 2.75" shells as well, but if you want to be able to shoot 3" stuff, you should double-check that it's a magnum gun.

Second, unless it's been upgraded (which some police units have done to their older 870s), a shotgun from the 70's will not have the flex-tab carrier, and when the bolt is closed, the action can become jammed if a shell slips out of the magazine or if the user doesn't push it past the shell stops when loading it under stress. If this gun is going to be used in a critical role, you may want to consider adding that upgrade if the gun is still original.

Apart from that, that is a decent price for that gun, so long as it's in proper working condition (and 870s do not wear out easily). If you don't like that folding stock, you could probably make some money off it.

I found out this wingmaster was made in 1964, it has a twenty inch barrel, and aside from normal cosmetic wear the barrel, reciever, and trigger group are all very clean, and everything functions 100%... and it has and original remington top folder stock,,, do not want to get stuck with a bum deal on my first 870
ALL input is appreciated
Thanks
