Working Wing

Post by waterrat » Sat May 11, 2019 7:43 pm

I am a Wingmaster junkie, and just picked up my holy grail in 20 ga. However, there is still(always) one left. Years ago whilst beating around the marsh, I met a guy with an odd Wing. It was not an Express, or a Sportsman, but I believe a true Wingmaster. I came in matte finish, I am thinking a greenish colour, had plain jane light wood, and a sling. I am guessing late 80's. I have never seen another, but have re-modeled a 1953 Wing in it's image. Does this ring any bells, if so, can somebody offer any input.

Cheers

Maybe a police model with parkerized finish?

SOS usually has police trade-ins - you might find what you're looking for there.

I have a "Special Purpose Magnum" in matte finish with a greenish cast to it, has 26" barrel and walnut stock and forend. I bought it new in 1989 and I have never seen or heard of another like it. All of the other SPM guns I know of are flat black, express type finish. I have tried to find a shorter slug barrel for it but can't find anything with that finish.
Possibly collectable? but to me is my go to huntin gun.
