Vintage 870

Post by Jed Clampet » Sat Dec 22, 2018 10:17 pm

Good Day

I acquired a Vintage Wingmaster in pristine condition. It has the ribbed forearm. The previous owner had replaced the original barrel with a 30" Vented Rib fixed choke. I am looking to find a production date but all sites state the information can be obtained by the barrel number. I am looking to find information based in the Serial # on the receiver. Any ideas ???

Thanks

870 serial numbers without a letter prefix were manufactured before 1968. The "V" suffix indicates 12g 2 3/4" shells. You'll have to call Remington to get the exact date.
